They Understand Eachother

My students sometimes speak their own language and I am not a part of it. It is actually fun to watch them interact with each other and get to know each other. Today, we were doing an art project and they were working silently on it and one of my students turns to me and says, "Ms. Jones, can we watch "Stuck or Signature Dance Move?" I looked at him inquisitively and asked, "what is that?" The whole class looked at me like I was the dumbest person on earth and all said, almost together, "The movies of Mary Deane!" They love her and they all knew what he was talking about. It was so funny.
