1856 The Musical

I had the awesome experience last night of going to "1856 The Musical" in the beautiful capitol theatre in Salt Lake City. It was about the poor handcart company that got stuck in the snow storms and the rest of the saints in Utah and what they did to help. I was deeply touched by the sacrifices that the pioneers made. They told the story of two families from their letters and journal entries and I cried as I thought of the sacrifices that so many people have made for this gospel. Some people have even died defending the true restored gospel. How grateful I am that I know of this truth and that I don't have to give my life or my family member's lives to defend my religion like the pioneers did!

Planting seeds!

I just wanted to share a really cool story with everyone...yesterday I was talking to a girl who I taught on my mission. She has since been baptized and one of her younger brothers is baptized and her other one has committed to baptism so that was already cool enough. She then proceeded to tell me that an investigator who I really had a connection with is getting married in the temple in a couple months because he was baptized shortly after I left. The Lord truly does bless us if we are faithful. I did so much "seed planting" on my mission and now the Lord is giving me the opportunity to see the blessings of my hard work and of my devotion to sharing the gospel. Yay for people getting baptized!!

My life in Provo!

Well, I love living in Provo. Vending is pretty much my life now since I am there from 7 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. I stay pretty busy and I love the people I work with so that is good. I love my apartment and my ward so I am pretty much loving being in Provo. I miss my family in Georgia, but being a full fledged college student again is great!
