So today one of my students was coming in from doing safety patrol and turned to me with a look of concern on her face and said, "Ms. Jones, why do you want to be a teacher? Why not be a doctor or something? You are too nice to be a teacher."
It is crazy what kids think about.
p.s. I ordered my cap and gown today and it brought a big smile to my face...7 weeks!

How sad. When I was growing up teacher's were, for the most part, nice. They had to yell at us a couple of times but that was it, oh yeah, we still had corporal punishment back then. Maybe that made things different? I am not in favor of corporal punishment, just making an observation. You are a wonderful teacher. It seems the homes and the classrooms are confused. Where is God in all of this? Just me spouting political. Hugs, mom
