"I can and will make a difference in my own life and in the lives of others." "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13. This is our Stake theme and scripture for this year. We had a Sunday school lesson about it yesterday and it was amazing. I have been so caught up in myself and school lately that I forgot what my purpose here is. Our sacrament meeting was on the Atonement and how we forget that Christ really did feel all that we feel now and all that we will ever feel. Then our Relief Society lesson was on the three degrees of glory and eternity. We now have a string hanging across our living room cieling with a little knot tied in it to remind us that this life is something you can't even see when you look at eternity. We need to remember that the bad days are just one day in this life. We also need to remember that the decisions we make in this life can and will effect eternity so we need to be serving others and balancing our lives. What and awesome theme and I plan to strive to live it daily!

I am SO EXCITED for our Stake's theme! I love it! Go team!
Keep up the good work!
Karlie,
I wish I knew what to say about the student teaching resume. With my promptness in getting back to you, you have already probably finished and turned it in. Make sure that you look at the district webpage of the district you'll be in so you can fish out their buzz words (i.e. jordan: balanced literacy) Use those words like balanced literacy, curriculum based math, talk about your teaching style and briefly about your management philosophy. Be open to collaboration as a team, and include that as one of your goals (as long as it is!) That's all I can really think of! Hope that helps!

Living those principals and beliefs just makes your life more rich with time. Love and hugs, mom
